OBLIVION made some waves last year with this video. it was insane, brutal, and technical. they’ve picked up a few members, including Ben Orum (ex-all shall perish), since then and have released the above album. (in valley girl voice) “LIKE OH MY FUCKING FICTIONAL GOD!” they didnt lose anything in between then and now. hell if nothing else they got fucking heavier. this is a pure assault on your cranium. the truest form of death metal today. i expect nothing but amazing things for these dudes.

over the weekend Randy Blythe released via Instagram a picture of a suitcase accompanied by a thought on his court date in Pruge….

“The last 2 or 3 days I have been getting ready mentally to leave my home & return to Prague to do this whole trial thing in early February. It’s not something I particularly WANT to do; but inside, my gut & heart tells me it is the RIGHT thing to do. I cannot turn my back [on] the right thing. As I’ve been thinking, I’ve [been] shooting [pictures] a lot around my hometown. I love this place. A couple of days ago I went to my mechanic to get my truck worked on- the garage is over near the CSX train yard here in Richmond. I dropped off my truck & went creeping under the over pass that runs above the tracks. As usual, there was a lot of sleeping gear, trash, old mattresses & stuff that homeless people keep there. In my younger days, I used to ride freight trains across our country. I have spent many nights under bridges just like this one in freight yards across the USA. I have always loved to travel, & have been across the USA three times without a dime in my pocket most of the time, learning the survival skills of the hobos & street people of our country. You can get by with almost nothing if you know what you are doing. This old suit case sitting up on this ledge really captured my attention. I wonder what it once held? Safe travels to whoever owns it…”

just as a refresher, Randy blythe was detained in mid May last year following the Czech Republic issuing a warrant for “bodily harm of the fourth degree, resulting in the death of a fan.” he was near to a month in the Czech jail before being let come home and a trail date of Feb. 4th being set.

Court spokeswoman Martina Lhotáková, said: “We have issued Randy Blythe with a court summons, and he is obliged to attend the hearing in person. The trial will determine the culpability of Blythe and his potential punishment.”

if convicted Mr.Blythe is looking at 5-10 Yrs in jail.

i wouldnt say the whole band is. it just seems that their guitarist,Mike Reynolds, is a bit on the being gay is a sin thing. he said the following yesterday:

“There IS a state church being formed, there is going to be an exclusive acceptance of preachers who advocate the LGBT. Don’t be deceived, homosexuality is a sin. This sin with all other sins is what Jesus died for. He conquered so that we would be free.

No such thing as a gay Christian, the same as there is no such thing as a Christian who loves his sin. Don’t be fooled by the formation of a state church as though the government is being converted, they only use the name of Jesus for their Progressive liberal agenda.

If you are a Christian then separate yourself from this civil religion that advocates sin. Be true to God.”

so as you can see this is a bit FUCKED! so today For Today as a band released this statement.

GHOST unveiled a new tracked “Secular Haze”. no release date for the album has been told. i feel like this band has the potential to stay around for a while. their stage presence and show is amazing, their theatrics are amazing. which if youre wondering about what that is like heres a video of them performing live Secular Haze.
